Instinctive
Theatre Company is an innovative young theatrical company, founded in 2002
and dedicated to supporting new writing and exploring theatre in the United Kingdom.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR: Instinctive's Creative Director is Nick Thomas. Nick's first work for
stage was Jericho Place (Oxford Playhouse, 1999), the musical he
co-wrote with composer Nick Kenworthy-Browne,
and his first straight play, Dancing Bears (Union Theatre, Southwark 2001; Old Fire Station Theatre, Oxford,
January 2002) was named Critics' Choice in Time Out magazine. This was
followed by The Myth of Medea, (Merton Chapel, 2002), a new version
in English verse of the story first dramatised by Euripedes in 431 BC and Sweet Ladies, at the Old Fire Station Theatre (2002). Nick’s most
recent play Waiting for Melissa, saw productions at the Burton Taylor
Theatre in Oxford (2002), the White Bear Theatre Kennington (2003) and
Manzi's Leicester Square London (2003), starring Adrian Peck and Directed by
Katy Darby. Nick’s The Myth of Medea, starring James Reilly and Jennifer
Robinson, was performed at The Old Fire Station Studio Theatre, Oxford, in 2004.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE
PRODUCER: Instinctive's Operations Director and Executive Producer is Alastair
McCullough. Alastair has extensive senior management and project
management experience as founder or joint-founder of five companies and three
operating divisions in the United
Kingdom.
Alastair read for his Bachelor’s in Business at North
London Polytechnic
Business School
and for his Master’s in Business Systems at City
University, London.
Alastair’s productions include The Myth of Medea
(Producer - Old Fire Station Studio Theatre, Oxford, 2004), Waiting for Melissa (Producer - Burton Taylor Theatre, Oxford,
2002; Executive Producer - White Bear Theatre & Manzi’s, London, 2003),
and Sweet Ladies (Producer - Old Fire Station Theatre,
Oxford, 2002).

DIRECTOR
OF MUSIC: Instinctive’s Director of Music is Nick Kenworthy-Browne. Nick has extensive experience in writing
music and conducting and co-wrote the musical Jericho Place (Oxford Playhouse, 1999) with Nick Thomas.
Nick won a music scholarship to Ampleforth and read for his Music
degree at Surrey University and for his Diploma in Film Scoring at
Berklee College of Music, Boston. Nick’s most recent writing for stage was
the score for the children’s musical How
the B-52 Cockroach Learned to Fly (2004, Hawaii University Youth Theatre, Hawaii).

Hugh's College, Oxford and began her career as
